Maggie Evans of Silver Lining
Maggie was born at North Texas State Unversity where her father was a graduate student in music. She was formally trained as a classical pianist then discovered bass guitar as a teenager and soon began performing with a variety of jazz and rock groups. Since then, she has been the bassist in numerous jazz combos, rock/cover bands and blues bands throughout the United States. Later she discovered the distinctive vocal talent that has made her a standout in the jazz community. All of her work in Silver Lining echos a variety of musical experiences including swing, blues, bossa nova, classic rock and funk.
In addition to her work as a musician, Maggie is a classically trained artist. She holds the BFA in Illustration from Utah State University and an MFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. See Maggie's website for more information.
